Did you know that Rosebirch was founded as a family business and to this day still has the Flynn family at the helm?
Founded in 1978 by Brian Stephen Flynn, the now managing director Stephen Flynn joined straight out school in 1990 starting on the factory floor. He then progressed through all the different facets of the business until taking over the reins.
Brian, Stephen’s brother, joined the company 7 years ago as Commercial Director. A time served, qualified Quantity Surveyor Brian oversees a team of estimators and surveyors. And then Kim joined the company three years ago as HR and People Lead.
Still operating from the same factory built by their dad 35 years ago, in 2025 Rosebirch is largest it has even been in both team numbers and with its turnover of £6.5m. It has retained the positive qualities of a family run business including good customer service and caring about the people who work within the company. Many of the team including Lynn Shearer and David Gray have been with the business since the early days – infact Stephen was David’s apprentice! We could say what goes around comes around, but their relationship hasn’t changed in the 30 years!!
